NANTUCKET RACE WEEK INDIVIDUAL SPONSORSHIPS

Spring is almost here, which means that summer on Nantucket and Nantucket Race Week, August 10-18, 2013, are right around the corner. Hosted by Nantucket Yacht Club and Great Harbor Yacht Club to benefit Nantucket Community Sailing, Nantucket Race Week is a fun-filled week of regattas, awards ceremonies, and parties, culminating in the famed Opera House Cup. The races provide competition for everyone from young sailors and local families to some of the country's top professional sailors. Non-sailors can view on-the-water action from spectator boats and join in the social events every evening. We are proud to once again have US Sailing President Gary Jobson serve as our honorary chair.

This year we expect over 350 boats to participate in Nantucket Race Week, along with several thousand spectators and partygoers. Thanks to the support of the participants, volunteers, Nantucket community, yacht clubs, and our sponsors, Nantucket Race Week has become a tremendous success. We have worked hard to have Nantucket Race Week certified as a Clean Regatta by Sailors for the Sea, and we will continue to promote actions that will preserve Nantucket's pristine waters.

Nantucket Race Week is the largest fund-raising event of the year for Nantucket Community Sailing, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides sailing instruction and water sports to the community. In 2013, NCS will teach over 1000 children to sail. NCS will grant $150,000 in sailing scholarships to island youth, providing free water sports to other Nantucket non-profit children's groups, and supporting Nantucket's High School Sailing Team.

NCS Beach Facilities	Use of all Nantucket Community Sailing boats and equipment at Jetties Beach, August 11-19.
Sponsor Gift	One of a kind hand-painted plate commemorating the 40th Opera House Cup, based on an original painting by Nantucket artist Louis Guarnaccia.
Family Barbeque Monday, August 13th	Burgers and chips. Awards for Youth Regatta and Laser Series. Great Harbor Yacht Club, 98 Washington Street Ext., 6-8 pm. Dress: casual.
IOD Celebrity Invitational Opening Dinner Wednesday, August 15th	Cocktails and dinner with the IOD teams and celebrity sailors, hosted by NRW Honorary Chair Gary Jobson. Great Harbor Yacht Club. 6 - 9:30pm. Dress: sport jacket.
NRW Regatta Dinner Thursday, August 16th	Buffet dinner. Awards for Race to Nantucket, IOD Celebrity Invitational, and Twelve Metre Regatta. Nantucket Yacht Club, 6:30 - 9:30pm. Dress: sport jacket.
Shipwreck Ball Friday, August 19th	Costume party. Theme: Reggae Wreck. Live band. Full buffet and cocktails will be served. Nantucket Yacht Club, 7:30 - midnight. Dress: costume encouraged or cocktail.
Skipper & Sponsor Party Saturday, August 18th	Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Live music by the Shep Cats. At Great Harbor Yacht Club. 6-8pm. Dress: sport jacket.
Big Boat Racing Opera House Cup Regatta Sunday, August 19th	Join the racing! Have a fabulous experience competing in the Opera House Cup Regatta aboard a classic twelve metre yacht Northern Light. Sailing experience helpful but not required. Box lunch provided. Meet at Nantucket Boat Basin at 9:30am, return at end of race (approximately 3:00pm). Dress: boat appropriate.
OHC Party Sunday, August 19th	OHC awards ceremony, buffet dinner catered by local Nantucket restaurants. Dancing and raffle. Under the tents at Jetties Beach, 6 - 10pm. Dress: casual. Rear Admiral sponsors receive Porsche shuttle service for the OHC party.
OHC 2nd Annual After Party Sunday, August 19th	The celebration continues at the Chicken Box, 5 Dave Street, 10pm - 1am. Live band. Rear Admiral sponsors receive Porsche shuttle service to the Box.
VIP Opportunity Aboard Historic Pride of Baltimore II and Privateer Lynx Tall Ships	Exclusive for our Secretary of the Navy Sponsor Level:  Come aboard the historic Pride of Baltimore II or Privateer Lynx tall ships for a private tour and reception.  Or choose to have a one-of-a-kind sailing experience aboard the Pride of Baltimore II or Privateer Lynx as part of the 40th Annual Opera House Cup Regatta.  These tall ships are reproduction of 1812 era topsail schooners, and will grace our Nantucket Harbor en route from the Boston to New York as part of the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812.  This is a Rare opportunity to experience maritime history aboard a magnificent tall ship and be a part of the opening spectacle as Lynx and Pride sail across the OHC Starting line with cannons and artillery firing!
Porsche VIP Shuttle Service	Round-trip transportation will be available for Sponsors at Rear Admiral Level and higher to the Skippers and Sponsors Party and OHC Awards Party.
Additional NRW 2012 Highlights	Gary Jobson's new book, Nantucket: A Sailing Community, commemorating the history of sailing on Nantucket is a must for all islanders and sailors.  A gift to our Rear Admiral Sponsors and higher, this handsome book will also be available for sale during Race Week wherever NRW & NCS merchandise is sold.  Proceeds to benefit NCS. John Stanton's documentary, Wood/Sails/Dreams, explores the history of wooden boat building and racing.  This not-to-be-missed film will preview at a reception at the Dreamland on Friday, August 17 and will be featured at the OHC Awards Party.
