Dear NCS Board & Advisors,

Planning for Nantucket Race Week is in full swing.  We've been working on elements of race management, event planning, corporate sponsorships and general coordination of all activities and volunteers since last fall.  Next up for us is the solicitation of individual sponsors, and for this we'd like to ask for your help.   

Last year this funding category increased by over 80% netting NRW an additional $46.8. Recognizing that some of our other fundraising areas, such as the Annual Appeal, are down, the NRW individual sponsor campaign is more important than ever.  To improve upon our 2009 gains and meet our 2010 fundraising goals, we are asking each NCS board member to write a personal note to five friends, family members, or acquaintances that might be potential donors.  It is very simple; just provide us with a handwritten note (to be enclosed in physical mailing from NCS) from you to your chosen recipient, include the name and mailing address of the recipient on another sheet of paper, and return both to NCS in the enclosed self addressed/stamped envelope by no later than May 26. (5 note cards, 5 recipient's names/addresses) Don't worry about redundancies or if your potential is already on the list.  We'll sort through and ensure that only one invitation with your note is mailed.  Honestly, send the note cards and addresses back to us, and we'll do the rest. So, please keep your eyes open for the mailing from NCS over the next few days.
