Once a booming whaling port, Nantucket has continued to keep its harbor active throughout history. During the summer months the harbor is host to many pleasure, racing and classic boats. Nantucket Race Week is one of the most exciting weeks on Nantucket's waters and is known for being one of the best weeks to walk the docks to see some of the finest sailing vessels from around the world.
