Nantucket Race Week is an eight -day experience that marshals the entire Nantucket community together in a fun-filled week of regattas, awards ceremonies, and parties.  The races provide sport for everyone from young dinghy sailors and families in the household knockabout to grand prix racers at the very top of their profession.  The racing begins on Saturday, August 8th, with events scheduled daily through Sunday, August 16th. 

Now in its sixth year, Nantucket Race Week is an excellent opportunity for a select group of sponsors to reach the highly attractive Nantucket market - as well as support a great non-profit organization, Nantucket Community Sailing.     Nantucket Race Week is the major fundraiser for Nantucket Community Sailing, generating 20% of NCS's annual operating budget.

If you have never been to Nantucket, you have missed one of the great American vacation and sailing venues.  While Nantucket only has about 12,000 year-round residents, the island grows to 45 - 55 thousand residents in the summer.  The island attracts a highly affluent vacationer - the average home sale price was $1.6M last year in a $900 million real estate market, and a recent survey showed that the average household income is $968,000.  Nantucket has an outstanding array of unique shops, inns, restaurants and sporting clubs that offer an incredible range of entertainment and recreational activities to this upscale community.  In addition to the creature comforts, Nantucket boasts some of the most beautiful beaches and best sailing waters in the world.

Race Week benefits Nantucket Community Sailing (NCS), a non-profit, educational organization that provides affordable access to sailing and water sports to the public.  Now in its fourteenth year, NCS served 1,200 young sailors last year, providing free equipment and instruction through many community outreach programs, including sponsoring and coaching Nantucket's High School Sailing Team, offering sailing scholarships to year-round island youth, running informal sailboat races for all levels and teaching adaptive windsurfing and rowing clinics for disabled athletes.

We are pleased to offer both corporate and individual sponsorship options for Nantucket Race Week.

• There will be only a few overall corporate sponsors - primary sponsorships are available at the Gold ($50K),  Silver ($25K), and Bronze ($10K) levels.  Additional sponsorships are available at the Admiral ($5K) level in both cash and in-kind contributions.    Each sponsor package provides a comprehensive set of media, print and web exposures, logo placements, social event tickets, and merchandising opportunities throughout the week.  In addition to the primary event sponsors, we also welcome sponsorship of specific events (e.g., sponsoring a regatta or a social event) and value-in-kind contributions (e.g., awards or refreshments).
